Chaplain – Fernandina Beach Police Department
As a volunteer chaplain, Rabbi Katz provides emotional and spiritual support to officers and staff, offering a trusted presence through the unique demands of the job.
Chaplain – Nassau County Sheriff’s Office
Rabbi Katz serves as a chaplain to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, supporting deputies and staff in their well-being on and off the job.
Volunteer Chaplain – Community Hospice
Through his work with Community Hospice at Baptist Medical Center Nassau, Rabbi Katz offers comfort, prayer, and a compassionate ear to patients and families during life’s most vulnerable moments.
Volunteer – Nassau County Council on Aging
Rabbi Katz partners with the Council on Aging to bring warmth, conversation, and holiday programming to local seniors.
Member – Amelia Island Chamber of Commerce
Chabad is proud to be part of the Chamber, engaging with local business and civic leaders and contributing to the broader fabric of community life.
Chaplain – Amelia Island Plantation
Rabbi Katz serves as a chaplain to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation resort community, available to guests and staff for spiritual support and pastoral care.

Education & Holocaust Awareness
Chabad hosts and participates in educational programming on Jewish history, the Holocaust, and the enduring importance of tolerance, remembrance, and human dignity — bringing these conversations to schools, civic groups, and the broader public.

Rabbi Katz speaks regularly to schools, civic organizations, and community groups, sharing perspectives on Jewish life, values, and tradition in an accessible and engaging way.
Interfaith & Civic Engagement
Chabad participates in local interfaith and civic initiatives, building bridges across faith communities and working alongside neighbors of all backgrounds toward a stronger, more connected Nassau County.
